Judy Niemeyer Scandinavian Snowflake
The Scandinavian Snowflake pattern will give you four placemats that are 20” in Diameter. They will look cute on your table or kitchen islands. For the class, I am making a Halloween version as well as a Christmas Holiday Version. The pattern calls for seven different fabrics plus a neutral color for the appliqué and straight lines. The options to make this are up to you, with fabric combinations. This pattern combines Foundation paper piecing and appliqué by machine. The pattern includes the peel-and-stick appliqué papers already shaped to use on the project. In addition, it suggests that you quilt the placemats before you add the appliqué. You will learn to do single-edge bias binding in a circular application.
